Meet Keith

Keith M. Marlowe, B.A., M.Div., is a Registered Psychotherapist, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and an Approved Supervisor with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He has been a marriage and family therapist for over 40 years. In addition to training in systems theory and other family therapy approaches, he completed training in divorce mediation, bioenergetic analysis, Gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, psychodrama, Emotion Focused Therapy, Trauma Incident Reduction and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (Level II). Currently he runs a private practice offering marriage, family and group therapy and trauma services. He is the Clinical Director for the Durham Region Critical Incident Stress Response Team, a volunteer body serving the needs of Emergency Responders following a critical incident. He grounds his work in a holistic approach to personal and relational growth and development. A past president of the Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, he has presented numerous workshops at conferences across Canada, including the Western Conference on Family Practice and the Guelph Conference on Sexuality. He has served on many community boards, most recently on the Community Advisory Committee of Whitby Mental Health Centre and the Violence Prevention council of Durham Region. For the latter organization, he also worked with the Protocol Committee in the development and production of "A Community Response to Abused Women and their Families: A Protocol for Durham Region". He lives with his spouse, also a family therapist, in Oshawa. He is the father of two children, grandfather of four. He hosts two websites, www.willingspirits.com, on recovering from the trauma of an extra-relationship affair and www.bulletproofmarriage.ca, offering resources for emergency responders.
